New training classesDecember 28, 2011
If you’re interested in building your skills in one of today’s leading spreadsheet software application programs, or learning how to customize your email messages, then The Center for Rural Development —Your Center of Learning—stands ready to help you do just that and much more in 2012.
The Center announces three new instructor-led training classes in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook have been added to its workforce training program in January.
The first of two professional training classes in Excel spreadsheet software, Excel Level 1, will be offered on Thursday, Jan. 12, to first-time Excel users interested in learning more about how to create and edit basic Microsoft Office Excel 2010 workbooks.
In an intermediate Excel Level 2 class, presented on Thursday, Jan. 26, new and returning students will have a chance to build upon their skills. In this one-day class, students will apply visual elements and advanced formulas to a worksheet to display data in various formats.
Emails are one of the fastest, and easiest, forms of communication, but many computer users may not be fully aware of all of Outlook’s many functions. In Outlook Level 2, an advanced class scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 18, students will learn how to customize the Outlook environment, calendar, and mail messages.
All classes will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (EST) in the second-floor training room at The Center, located at 2292 South U.S. 27 (at Traffic Light 15) in Somerset.
