New workforce training classes

Employers and professional business leaders looking for training in Microsoft office software or seeking more advanced technical training can now find solutions to their training needs through The Center for Rural Development’s Your Center of Learning workplace and business training program.

The Center, in partnership with New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, its e-learning and training partner, introduces four new instructor-led classes in some of Microsoft’s most popular business software programs and its latest series of Online LIVE course offerings.

Whether you are interested in learning how to crunch numbers in Excel or managing your personal information in Outlook, The Center will provide on-the-job training to get you where you need to be with these latest Microsoft instructor-led classes.

Advanced technical training also is available at The Center through Online LIVE expert instruction on the Web in the nation’s leading technical training courses.

“If you are looking for advanced, certification-track technical training for yourself or your employees—and want it close to home in a flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle—Online LIVE is ready to meet your training needs. These on-line, instructor-led classes offer some of the most advanced training in the nation, and come with a Guaranteed-to-Run commitment, which means classes will not be canceled because of low student enrollments.”

Online LIVE is an integrated learning experience, using the Internet to provide live, interactive lessons between an instructor and students.

Although separated by geography, instructors and students share active discussions, practice labs, simultaneous document viewing, and virtual rooms for breakout groups.

All Online LIVE and Microsoft workforce training classes are held at The Center, located at 2292 South U.S. 27 (at Traffic Light 15) in Somerset.

“For businesses in today’s competitive marketplace to maximize success, they must have a well-trained workforce,” Robyn Phillips, training and e-learning services coordinator for The Center, said. “The Center’s business and workforce skills training program can give employees and their employers that competitive edge to keep up with the demands of technology in the workforce.”
