Next cooking class: Greek Cuisine

Learn how to prepare gyros, stuffed grape leaves, spinach pie, chicken soup with egg lemon sauce, and Greek donuts with honey and walnuts at the next World Class Cuisine international cooking class.

Chef Mete Sergin will be preparing these and other traditional Greek dishes on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at The Center.

The World Class Cuisine international cooking series is presented by The Center and Grand Central Kroger store of Somerset.

Greece is known for its splendid ancient culture, its sunny islands and its healthy Mediterranean cuisine. Experience the flavors of the Mediterranean as you learn how to prepare these traditional dishes from the Greek Cuisine.

Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce  – Chicken is marinated with yogurt lemon and Mediterranean herbs and placed on skewers and then grilled and served with traditional Greek cucumber yogurt dip on pitta bread

*Dolmas – stuffed grape leaves

*Sanakotyropitakia – spinach pie

Avgolemeno – chicken soup with egg lemon sauce

Loukoumades – Greek donuts with honey and walnuts

$25 per class

*Hands-on teaching (students will make their own)
