“Exotic Nightmare,” a colored pencil and markers drawing by Olivia Brown, a seventh-grade student at Auburn Elementary Middle School in Auburn, Ky., is one of the pieces on exhibit.

Selections from VSA Kentucky Student Traveling Exhibition is now on display at The Center for Rural Development.

The Student Traveling Exhibit, also called “A Matter of Perspective,” is comprised of artwork created by K-12 students with disabilities from schools across the commonwealth.

At the beginning of each school year, a “Call for Art” is sent out to Kentucky schools. Artwork selected for the exhibit is matted and prepared to travel to schools, libraries, galleries, and other places across the state.

At the close of the annual tour, several pieces are framed and continue to be exhibited in selections from the Student Traveling Exhibit along with artwork from other past exhibits.
