Do you need soft-skills or technical training?

The Business & Community Training Center has released the August training schedule for soft-skills and technical skills classes at The Center for Rural Development.

Better Business Writing

Keep Going with QuickBooks is for students already familiar with Intuit QuickBooks wanting to advance their skills and improve performance. The topics range from memorizing transactions, customizing forms to sharing files with an accountant.

This class is designed to help acquaint you with the art of communicating. You will learn to understand the importance of interpersonal skills in becoming a leader, be able to convey believability by keeping verbal, vocal, and visual communications consistent, practice the nine behavioral skills of interpersonal communication, and change your habits to improve interpersonal effectiveness.

Microsoft Office Excel 2016 Part 1

Excel can help you organize, calculate, analyze, revise, update, and present your data in ways that will help the decision makers in your organization steer you in the right direction. This course aims to provide you with a foundation for Excel knowledge and skills, which you can build upon to eventually become an expert in data manipulation.

Time Management/Organizational Skills/Professionalism

It doesn’t matter if you use a paper notebook or the fanciest smartphone, mastering your use of time will help you achieve more and worry less. Everyone has the power to take control of their time. Learn the basic principles of time management and also learn the benefits of organization, how to manage paperwork and organize your desk, and where items should be kept.
