This year’s speaker is the newest member of the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. Beth Neilsen Chapman is a songwriter, recording artist, breast cancer survivor, environmental activist, teacher of workshops, and self-described “creativity whisperer.”
Beth’s lectures and keynote presentations, punctuated by her deeply moving songs, leave attendees truly inspired.
From writing hits for other artists to recording her own hits, this twice Grammy-nominated, Nashville-based artist writes from her heart. Having lost her husband to cancer in 1994, Beth forged her own path through her breast cancer journey just six years later-and has emerged stronger than ever before.
Beth’s passion for music is contagious. Wearing fun and enthusiasm throughout her performance, she lifts the spirit of her audience as she shares her message of hope and healing.
The event is presented by Alton Blakley and Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in cooperation with the American Cancer Society, Kentucky Cancer Program, and Southern Kentucky AHEC.
