Introduction to Computers Using Windows 8
Welcome to Introduction to Personal Computers Using Microsoft® Windows® 8. Whether students are new to computers or have used them in the past, this class will help students become more comfortable using a personal computer (PC) and, more specifically, the Windows 8 interface. This course will help students to define what a PC is, and familiarize students with the Windows 8 user interface and its basic capabilities. In this course, students will explore Windows 8 and learn how to create documents, send email, browse the Internet, and share information between applications and with other users.
This course is designed is designed for any end user who is interested in learning about and using the features and functionality of the Windows 8 operating system for personal and/or professional use.
Bring personal laptop with Windows 8 software.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to perform basic work-related tasks on a PC running the Windows 8.1 operating system.

Meet the Instructor
Carol Whitson, owner of Computer Specialty Services, is a certified Microsoft Office specialist and has her GISP (Geographic Information Specialist Professional) certification. She is proficient in Microsoft Office (2007-2013) family of products, QuickBooks, and Sage software and has taught various GIS and custom software courses.
