Course Description

On the first day of training, students will use Outlook to compose and send email, schedule appointments and meetings, manage contact information, schedule tasks, and create notes. On Day 2, students will customize the Outlook environment, calendar, and mail messages, and will also track, share, assign, and quickly locate various Outlook items.

Target Student

This course is designed for both beginner and advanced-level Outlook users. Prospective students should be comfortable with the Windows environment and be able to use Windows to manage information on the computer.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this two-day training course, students will be able to:

  • explore the Outlook interface, send mail, and respond to messages
  • compose email messages
  • organize email messages into folders
  • manage contacts and contact information
  • schedule appointments
  • schedule a meeting
  • manage tasks and notes
  • customize message settings
  • organize and locate Outlook messages
  • set calendar options
  • track activities using the journal
  • assign and track tasks
  • share folder information
  • customize the Outlook environment

Day 1 Level 1: $99
Day 2 Level 2: $99
Full two-day workshop: $198
Students may register for Level 1 or Level 2 Outlook training, or complete both sessions of the workshop.

Meet the Instructor

Carol Whitson, owner of Computer Specialty Services, is a certified Microsoft Office specialist and has her GISP (Geographic Information Specialist Professional) certification. She is proficient in Microsoft Office (2007-2013) family of products, QuickBooks, and Sage software and has taught various GIS and custom software courses.
