School Time Theatre DanceWorks Chicago
School Time Theatre performance
10 a.m. (Grades K-3)
Noon (Grades 4-8)
With an emphasis on finding and sharing one’s voice, the dancers present a diverse program of movement and music with their highly personal approach to each dance.
This School Time Theatre performance, presented by Lake Cumberland Performing Arts in partnership with The Center, will showcase multiple movement vocabularies and styles through which choreographers express themselves.
The layer of the human voice in the soundscape accompanying the dance, whether as simple breath or a vocalist, will expose the audience to another layer of artist expression able to be articulated by the human body.
Each presentation will encourage multiple points of connection with dance and the art of self-expression as well as include a chance for conversation with the dancers.
