In Turkey, they say, “Let’s eat sweet, talk sweet!” This phrase reflects their deep desire and love for sweets.  A favorite sweet treat is Baklava.

Chef Mete Sergin will be preparing these classic Turkish recipes:

  • Baklava, the most popular dessert in Middle Eastern countries
  • Grilled Koftes and Izmir Kofte (grilled meat patties or Turkish meatballs) served with Turkish Sehriyeli Pilav (Turkish Pilav with Vermicelli)
  • Halva
Un Helvasi (wheat flour halva) and Irmik Helvasi (semolina halva)

Your Center of Learning cooking classes are presented by The Center and the Grand Central Kroger store.
