The second in a series of summer concert series continues Friday, June 8, with a gospel music concert at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset.

This month’s “Front Porch Pickin’” concert—set to begin at 8 p.m.—will spotlight local Christian artists including Preacherman Nathan Purcell, Charlene Worley, Turning Pointe, Julie Ann Bryant and Bethann Neeley, The Joyful Spirits Ministries, and Lonnie King.

Doors to the exhibit hall will open at 7:45 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.

The concert series kicked off last month with a show featuring local songwriters. Each month through October, the series will feature a different music genre—from country, rock, blues, to bluegrass.

“Front Porch Pickin’” is presented by Clear Channel Lake Cumberland in partnership with The Center.
