Treasure Island website graphicBased on the classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, set sail with young Jim Hawkins aboard the Hispaniola for the mysterious Treasure Island, a tiny spot in the ocean believed to conceal the greatest of fortunes.

Young Jim must learn the value of honor and decency from the most unlikely teachers. This new show and grand production is a merry musical adaptation that is filled with fun, action and the moral foundation of this timeless classic.

“Treasure Island,” the next School Time Theatre performance on April 17, is targeted for students in grades 2-8. All School Time Theatre performances are open to the general public.

School Time Theatre is presented by Lake Cumberland Performing Arts in partnership with The Center.

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides operating support to Lake Cumberland Performing Arts with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
