YCOL-female-2Learn how to protect your devices from cyber attacks

If you have a mobile device, use a computer, or utilize technology, as most of us do these days, protecting and keeping our personal information and sensitive business information safe is a top priority.

But how do you protect your information from prying eyes or falling into the wrong hands?

A new Your Center of Learning instructor-led training on cyber security, called CyberSAFE (Securing Assets for End-users), will help you become more aware of technology-related risks and what you can do to protect yourself and your organization from cyber threats.

Microsoft Office specialist Carol Whitson will be leading a training course on cyber security on Monday, May 23, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at The Center for Rural Development to enable you to use technology more securely and to minimize digital risks.

After successfully completing the training, students will be able to:

  • Identify the need for security
  • Secure devices like desktops, laptops, smart phones, and more
  • Secure your use of the Internet

The training has been approved for EILA credit hours from the Kentucky Department of Education.
