U.S. Congressman Harold “Hal” Rogers (KY-05) along with Lonnie Lawson, President and CEO of The Center for Rural Development, visited the newly opened Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Somerset, KY on Friday.
Rogers toured the 104-room, four-story hotel, which is located adjacent to The Center for Rural Development, three days after it opened to guests on January 24 at its new Somerset location.
The Courtyard by Marriott Somerset hotel features a state-of-the-art lobby, Bistro restaurant, indoor pool, fitness center, and flexible environment for guest to work or relax with free Wi-Fi throughout and easy access to the latest news or weather via GoBoard technology.
The hotel will be operated as a Marriott franchise and was developed and managed by LinGate Hospitality of Owensboro.
The Courtyard by Marriott Somerset is located off U.S. 27 (at Traffic Light 15) and adjacent to The Center—the most versatile event and meeting location between Lexington, KY, and Knoxville, TN.
The Courtyard by Marriott Somerset will host a grand opening celebration on March 6, 2017 at 4pm. More information will be forthcoming about the community event.
