Create your own canvas painting

Your Own Painted Canvas—Where Fun Meets Art

At our painting classes, it is just as important to have fun as it is to paint.

Instructor Brian Covert encourages inspiring artists to explore their creativity and have fun.

“Don’t take things too seriously,” Covert stressed. “Everyone is here to have fun. No two paintings are identical. Each artist creates his or her own unique version of the painting.”

In the next painting class, “Your Own Painted Canvas—Where Fun Meets Art,” students will create a Halloween-inspired painting of a black cat sitting on a tree limb looking out at the night sky.

“I wanted to do something to celebrate the fall season,” Covert said. “There are a lot of different things you can do with this painting. You can follow the instructions exactly or branch out on your own and try something different.”

The classes are open to everyone and all levels of artists. No painting or art experience is required.

All tools and supplies needed for the class will be provided by The Center. Set up and clean up will be taken care of by the events staff, so participants will not have to worry about anything, except having a good time.

For more information or to register for the class, call 606-677-6000 or register online.
