The Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC) staff attended the 2018 National Preparedness Symposium, held May 21-24, 2018, at the Emergency Management Institute in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Lonnie Lawson, President & CEO of The Center for Rural Development and RDPC Principal Investigator, represented RDPC during a panel review of the Department of Homeland Security’s Continuing Training Grant Programs. Mr. Lawson also represented RDPC by giving a separate presentation on Cyber Threats in Rural Communities. Other staff in attendance included: Julie Wilson, Kim Ellis, and Lori Ard.
