RDPC Student Practices Skills Learned in AWR 209

“I completed the course AWR 209: Working with the Media: A Short Course for Rural First Responders not knowing that just a couple weeks later, I would be interviewed by our local news station, WKYT, to discuss a community forum that our health department was hosting on the opioid crisis. I am so glad that I had recently learned skills to help me in this interview. Our instructor, Bobby Day, did an excellent job of allowing us to put the strategies into practice before we left training that day.
