The Center for Rural Development is the latest to catch the movie magic.

A production crew was on location a while back to film scenes for the made-for-TV movie, Sparks, a romantic comedy set in the world of car culture.

“We were delighted to have them use our facility. The Center is a 35,000-square-foot blank canvas of available functional event space. The production companies absolutely love our full production studio, theatre, and office spaces.”

Location manager Charlie Louthen called The Center one of the best places to film a movie.

“We look forward to using this location again in the future,” he said. “We enjoyed building relationships with Laura and Lonnie (Lawson) President and CEO of The Center.”

“As a non-local, I’ve never felt so welcome and supported,” added assistant director Roberta Sparta.

This is the third production team to film a movie at The Center in the last month.
