The 2022 Stand Up Rural America Summit, a national rural economic development summit, will take place July 26-28 at The Center for Rural Development in Somerset. The Summit will feature more than 20 nationally renowned subject matter experts and successful economic development practitioners. 

Topics to be covered include planning, leadership, entrepreneurship, downtown revitalization, innovative marketing, regionalism, business retention & expansion, effective communications, rural retail, housing, rural broadband, talent development, technology tools and much more. Additional content regarding preparedness, strategies for helping our communities rebound, rebuild and restore our communities following the COVID-19 public health and economic crisis will also be included.

Representatives from the Somerset-Pulaski Economic Development Authority (SPEDA), the city of Somerset, Pulaski County government, and The Center for Rural Development will serve as the host committee for the Summit.
