There is a lot to be said for Southern chefs, especially when it comes to sweets!
Join Chef Mete Sergin on a sugary journey, as you prepare some of your favorite mouthwatering desserts straight from grandma’s cookbook.
This hands-on, interactive cooking class will teach you how to mix, sift, and bake, with a little love added in every bite.
Menu:
- Let’s see the difference between a crisp, a crumble, a cobbler, and a Brown Betty (with Peach or Apple)
- Southern fried apple hand pies
- Strawberry banana pudding (trifle)
Registration is $25; $15 for students (5-10 years old)
The “Gimme’ Some Sugar” cooking class is part of the “A Taste of Kentucky” cooking series presented by The Center for Rural Development’s Business & Community Training Center and sponsored by Kroger Marketplace in Stonegate Center.
