The Center for Rural Development’s Gimme’ Some Sugar cooking class
Feb. 12 | 6:30-8:30 p.m. | $25 adults; $15 children (5-10 years old)

There is a lot to be said for Southern chefs, especially when it comes to sweets!

Join Chef Mete Sergin on a sugary journey, as you prepare some of your favorite mouthwatering desserts straight from grandma’s cookbook.

This hands-on, interactive cooking class will teach you how to mix, sift, and bake, with a little love added in every bite.

Menu:

  • Let’s see the difference between a crisp, a crumble, a cobbler, and a Brown Betty (with Peach or Apple)
  • Southern fried apple hand pies
  • Strawberry banana pudding (trifle)

Registration is $25; $15 for students (5-10 years old)

The “Gimme’ Some Sugar” cooking class is part of the “A Taste of Kentucky” cooking series presented by The Center for Rural Development’s Business & Community Training Center and sponsored by Kroger Marketplace in Stonegate Center.
