Danny Ford, an area auctioneer and former state legislator, will be recognized at the 14th annual Congressman Hal Rogers Leadership Award Dinner.

Ford served as a member of the state House of Representatives from 1983-2013, representing Pulaski, Lincoln and Rockcastle counties. He was the House’s Minority Floor Leader from 1995-1998 and Minority Whip from 2011-2013.

Speaking at the event will be State Rep. David Meade, current District 80 representative, and Rep. Ken Upchurch of District 52, who also represents part of Pulaski. Congressman Hal Rogers, Pulaski Circuit Court Judge David Tapp and local Property Valuation Administrator T.W. Todd are also scheduled to speak.

The ceremony will also feature Boy Scouts and Eagle Scouts who will come in and talk about their experiences.

Individuals can attend the dinner for $150, couples for $250, and a table of six to eight can be sponsored for $1,000.

All proceeds go to benefit the Lake Cumberland Boy Scouts of America, serving Pulaski, Rockcastle, McCreary, Russell, Wayne, Casey, and Clinton counties. The BSA district serves over 600 young people in 21 units.
