Lake Cumberland Performing Arts, in partnership with The Center for Rural Development, presents Santa’s Enchanted Workshop, a special holiday performance, as part of the 2018-2019 School Time Theatre season.

Stanley and his baby sister, SuSu, don’t know whether or not to believe in Santa Claus, so they set out for the North Pole.  Trapped in a blizzard, they wind up in a dilapidated gas station run by a mysterious old man named Nick.  Could this be Santa’s Enchanted Workshop?  Imagination is the key in this joyous holiday musical, which features a singing robot, a dancing rag doll and one of the silliest villains you’ll ever see!  Book, music and lyrics by Richard Giersch.

Admission is $5 per child/student. One complimentary teacher (supervisor) admission will be provided for every 10 paid admissions. Each additional teacher (supervisor) admission is $5. Sales tax will be applied to all ticket sales. If you are tax-exempt you will need to provide a tax-exempt certificate before tax can be removed from purchase.

Tickets are not issued for School Time Theatre performances. Your reservation and advance payment will reserve the requested number of seats in the theatre. All School Time Theatre performances are open to the general public.

School Time Theatre

School Time Theatre, presented by Lake Cumberland Performing Arts in partnership with The Center for Rural Development, seeks to share the magic of the arts with students and adults in Southern and Eastern Kentucky.

All School Time Theatre programs are selected with two goals in mind: education and quality. Many are based on familiar children’s literature or historic characters, emphasize positive values, or introduce students to unfamiliar art forms.  In addition to the sheer enjoyment of the arts, attending live theatre has been shown to fulfill or enhance many of the goals of the average school curriculum. “Thematic Connections” information is provided for each performance, and free study guides are made available. All performances are open to the public.

Visit School Time Theatre page to learn more about the 2018-2019 season.

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides operating support to Lake Cumberland Performing Arts with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
