June 19-July 24
Opening Reception: June 19 @2 p.m.

The Smithsonian’s Museum on Main Street, in cooperation with Kentucky Humanities, presents “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America.” The exhibition examines the nearly 250-year-old American experiment of a government “of, by and for the people,” and how each generation since continues to question how to form “a more perfect union.”

The Center for Rural Development has been chosen by the Kentucky Humanities to host “Voices and Votes” as part of the Museum on Main Street program—a national/state/local partnership to bring exhibitions and programs to rural cultural organizations.

We are honored to host this traveling art exhibit from June 19-July 24, 2021 – Stop by The Center for Rural Development (2292 South Hwy. 27, Somerset KY 42501) and view the exhibit from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday and during extended evening and weekend hours when the building is open to the general public. There is no charge to view the exhibit. For more information, call 606-677-6000.

Voices and Votes has been made possible in The Center for Rural Development by Kentucky Humanities.
