Lake Cumberland Performing Arts

The Center for Rural Development, in partnership with Lake Cumberland Performing Arts (LCPA), seeks to enrich the lives of people in our region by offering a selection of Broadway-style performances, musical concerts, and family-oriented entertainment.

Our goal is to bring high caliber cultural and theatrical performances to a rural economically challenged region at affordable prices for the entire family.

Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency in the Kentucky Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet, supports the performing arts programs presented by The Center in partnership with Lake Cumberland Performing Arts with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts. The Kentucky Arts Council plays a critical role in promoting cultural tourism, enhancing economic development, and securing a strong foothold for the arts in education.

Performing arts programs that are presented by The Center in partnership with Lake Cumberland Performing Arts are funded in part by South Arts. South Arts is a not-for-profit regional arts organization that has been making a positive difference in the arts throughout the South since 1975. The organization works in partnership with nine state agencies including Kentucky. South Arts is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), foundations, corporations, individuals, and member states.
