Battle of the Band winners Frontier

Frontier, a soft rock/Americana band from Laurel County, was first-place winners at this weekend’s 10th annual Don Marshall Lake Cumberland Battle of the Bands.

The band took home the top prize—$1,000 in prize money—and will receive a guaranteed spot in next summer’s 2017 Master Musicians Festival.

Frontier battled six other bands to take the top spot and win the competition on Saturday night at The Center for Rural Development.

In Tune, a rock band from Berea, finished in second place and Even Tides, a pop/rock band from Corbin, took third place.
