Grant Writing 101 Workshop

Do you want to write a grant or have your written one that was not funded?

The Center for Rural Development’s Business and Community Training Center is hosting a Grant Writing 101 workshop on Tuesday, April 26, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. that will give grant writers the essential skills they need to write a competitive grant proposal from start to finish.

Instructor Melissa Vermillion, Director of Grants and Contracts for Hazard Community and Technical College, has been grant writer for the college since 2020. She is Grant Professional Certified through the Grant Professionals Certification Institute.

Melissa has successfully written grant applications to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, National Endowment for the Arts, Appalachian Regional Commission, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Education TRIO programs, and several private funders, securing over $20 million in grant funding.
