The Center for Rural Development, in partnership with Lake Cumberland Performing Arts, proudly presents the 2019-20 School Time Theatre performing arts series.

This season’s lineup includes live performances that’s sure to educate and entertain students of all ages. Each performance is presented by a cast of professional actors from some of the leading theatre companies in the country.

All School Time Theatre performances are selected with two goals in mind: education and quality. Many are based on familiar children’s literature or historic characters, emphasize positive values, or introduce students to unfamiliar art forms.

In addition to the sheer enjoyment of the arts, attending live theatre has been shown to fulfill or enhance many of the goals of the average school curriculum. “Thematic Connections” information is provided for each performance, and free study guides are made available.

Admission to School Time Theatre is $5 per student. With every 10 student admissions purchased, one teacher/chaperone will be admitted free. Tickets are not issued for School Time Theatre day-time matinees. Your reservation and advance payment will reserve the requested number of seats in our theatre.

All School Time performances are open to the general public.
