Lake Cumberland Children’s Theatre, in partnership with The Center for Rural Development, brings Disney’s The Lion King Jr. to stage in a new musical presented by a group of talented young actors.

Based on the Broadway production and the 1994 Disney animated feature film, a cast of 67 children will tell the story of Simba, an adventurous and energetic lion cub who is next in line to be king of the Pride Lands, in three back-to-back performances.

Disney’s The Lion King Jr. will open on Friday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. with two additional performances on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. and a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Nov. 20, at The Center for Rural Development.

The musical is directed by Lake Cumberland Children’s Theatre Director Felice Parish-Roach, music director Amanda Balltrip, and choreographer Britani Shoemaker.
